Gosh! Now that the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over it’s not long before the doors open on the ‘Biggest Ever’ model railway exhibition to be held in Scotland.
We have tried to bring together as wide a range of layouts, representing as many scales and eras, as possible and have even created the opportunity to indulge in some 1960’s ‘train spotting’ watching the giants of the East and West coast main lines thunder past – albeit in 4mm; if you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Gamston Bank and New Mills a few memories will be rekindled.
In order to redress the balance we also have a wide and varied selection of diesel outline layouts on display including Alburne Park, Almond Bridge and Portchullin plus a selection of Continental and North American layouts including Pempoul and La Baraque which represent the rural railways of France.
A visit to our layout page will give you a full list of the layouts coming to Model Rail Scotland 2012 and don’t forget - advance ticket holders get early access to the exhibition so to avoid the crush order your tickets now!
Advance tickets are available on line or by post. For more information visit our advance ticket page.
Happy New Year
The Model Rail Scotland Team
