Exhibition Manager's January 09 Update |
'Right, that's it!' I demand a steward's enquiry into who 'nicked'
2008? Where did it go? I can't believe we're already into 2009. This
means it's only six weeks to go to Model Rail Scotland so, if you don't
have your ticket, it's time to get one! Go on, click on the link for
'advance tickets', you know it's what you want to do!
Last month I mentioned that it was the start of the modelling season,
and, since then, I have been busy preparing my layout (Hewisbridge-OO
gauge) for Model Rail Scotland. I hope you have also been productive
getting things ready for our modelling competition.
Model Rail Scotland hosts an open competition for modellers which
covers all the popular scales and prototypes. For more information take
a look at the competition section of the website. Come on, have a try.
Maybe that's all the encouragement you need to finish that model
languishing on the work bench or lurking in the cupboard.
This February's Model Rail Scotland will be the last outing for 'Drem',
the superb N Gauge layout by East Neuk MRC. 'Drem' has featured in a
number of magazine articles so, if you haven't seen it already, this
may well be your very last chance to do so. 'Drem' is one of our many
'not to be missed' layouts.
Finally, on behalf of the team at Model Rail Scotland, let me wish you
all a very happy and prosperous New Year and many more of them. Still,
there's no excuse for time passing so quickly except, of course, to
allow the end of February to arrive so that Model Rail Scotland can
begin all the sooner.
 Drem
