Model Rail Scotland Competition

In 2011 we revamped our competitions into five “all scale” categories to simplify competition entry and judging.  The winners of the new competitions are listed below.

Model Rail Scotland Trophy for Best Locomotive
• 2011 Winner - Richard Chown for Paris – Orleans Railway 0-6-0 Number 646 in “0” Gauge

Model Rail Scotland Trophy for Best Item of Rolling Stock
• 2011 Winner - Mr W M Chisholm for Cowans Sheldon 15 Ton Crane in “0” Gauge

Model Rail Scotland Trophy for Best Item of Scenery/Architecture
• 2011 Winner - Ray Nolton for Steam Tug (part of the “Burntisland” Harbour Scene) in 1:76

Model Rail Scotland Trophy for Best AMRSS Layout in Show
• 2011 Winner - Swinlees (00) by Ayr MRC

Model Rail Scotland Trophy for Best Guest Layout in Show
• 2011 Winner - Emsland – Moortrack (H0, H0e, & H0i) by Modelspoorwegclub Spijkspoor
